The meeting looked at the report on the security and results achieved by the police in the province in 2009, which was debated at the second session of the Provincial Committee for Security.
Dacic pointed to the importance of the participation of minorities in the police, especially in multiethnic environments.
He stressed that the cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior and the Vojvodina parliament has been good and that they will continue to work together on maintaining public peace and order, preventing conflicts among nationalities, as well as all forms of violence and intolerance.
Dacic and Egeresi concluded that cooperation in combating all forms of crime is the only way to resolve these issues, noting that all relevant state institutions must be involved, as well as local self-government organs.
