Religion minister extends Pesach greetings to Jewish community

Minister of Religion Bogoljub Sijakovic extended his greetings to the Jewish community in Serbia regarding the Pesach holiday.

The Minister’s letter to the President of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Serbia Aleksandar Necak and Rabbi Isak Asiel says that the Pessach holiday teaches every generation of Jews to remember the past, celebrate freedom, appreciate human dignity and cherish virtues and ideals.
“We wish you to spend your holiday knowing that you are among the friendly Serbian people and that Serbia will always help the Jewish community to cherish its culture, tradition and heritage”, reads the Minister’s letter.
