Dacic attends promotion of new police cadets

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic attended the promotion of the second class of students from the Centre for Basic Police Training to police cadets.

Dacic wished every success to the new cadets during their first six months of training as well as afterwards when they start working.
He stressed that expectations of the new police cadets are high when it comes to the state’s fight against crime, corruption and terrorism, as well as the preservation of citizens’ security.
He stated that Serbia has to become a country in which everyone can live and work safely and where crime and corruption will not prevail over the state.
Dacic reminded those present of the measures and actions taken to reform the Serbian police over the last five years and stressed the important role of many national bodies and organisations, as well as international institutions, including the special contribution to the advancement of police education provided by the OSCE Mission to Serbia, the British Council and the Norwegian government.
A total of 120 young men and women of the second generation of students have successfully completed a one-year training course and are prepared for apprenticeship and the Minister presented prizes to the best students.
The best students are Ninoslav Pejcinovic from Gornji Milanovac, Marina Bogdanov from Zrenjanin and Bojan Veljkovic from Belgrade.
