First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic laid a wreath on Strazevica Hill today and paid respects to Serbian soldiers killed during the NATO bombing in 1999.

Dacic said that the bombardment of Serbia must not be forgotten, adding that we should draw lessons for the future from that tragic event.
He recalled that the state is under an obligation to take care of the families of soldiers and police officers, as well as civilians killed during the 78 days of the bombing.
Dacic noted that since 2009 the government began marking 24 March, the Remembrance Day for the victims of the NATO bombing wherever soldiers, police officers and citizens lost their lives.
