Ivica Dacic and Chris Bryant
Serbia and the UK have had traditionally good cooperation which should be continued, especially in the field of the economy, the two Ministers agreed.
Dacic stressed that Serbia expects the UK’s support on its path to EU integration, as well as the abolishment of visas for Serbian citizens.
Bryant said that Serbia plays a key role when it comes to stability in the Western Balkans and maintaining good relations with other countries in the region.
The UK will endorse Serbia’s EU entry, Bryant highlighted adding that he agrees with Dacic that this is important not only for Serbia, but also for Europe, because of the values which Serbia will bring into the EU.
Bryant underlined that in 2011 the UK will contemplate the abolishment of visas for Serbian citizens.
With this meeting Dacic concluded his four-day visit to the UK.
