Dacic said that it is in the common interest of the two countries that Europe does not harbour fears of the Western Balkans because this can harm the region’s European future.
The main topic of the meeting was the increase in the number of false asylum-seekers from the two countries and the investigation into this matter.
Dacic underlined that it is good to show to the international community that we have the initiative and will to solve this problem quickly.
Jankulovska said that Macedonia launched an intensive control of tourist agencies in order to establish if there were elements of criminal activities. There are agencies that are suspected of participating in the transport of people from Serbia and Macedonia to the countries of Western Europe.
Serbia and Macedonia have always had good police cooperation, which should be developed in the future because the two countries share the same problems, Dacic concluded.
