At a press conference following the signing Bradic said that the meeting with his Slovak counterpart looked at the current and future cooperation between their countries in a cultural sphere.
He said that the framework of cooperation that has been agreed upon in the past, including theatre, music, literature and the protection of cultural heritage, can be a good basis for establishing links between individuals and institutions for a permanent exchange of information between the two ministries and other Serbian and Slovak cultural institutions.
Madaric said that the signing of the agreement is a natural continuation of bilateral cooperation in culture which is traditionally as good as many other areas between Slovakia and Serbia.
The cooperation will be carried out on three levels, the first being exchange of information, the second mutual exchange of artists and exhibitions and the third the presentation of Slovakian culture in Serbia and vice versa.
Madaric said that he highly appreciates what Serbia is doing for the Slovakian ethnic community in Vojvodina.
Slovakia fully supports the efforts of Slovaks in Serbia to develop their culture and thus preserve their cultural identity and at the same time remain loyal citizens of the country they live in, Madaric said.
