Djelic to attend Danube Summit in Budapest

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Science and Technology Development Bozidar Djelic will be on an official visit to Budapest on 25 and 26 February, where he will participate in the Danube Summit and the Conference on the second overall EU strategy for the Danube region.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister said that Djelic will speak at the opening of the Danube Summit, together with the prime ministers of Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Moldova, Gordon Bajnai, Emil Boc, Boyko Borisov, Jadranka Kosor and Vlad Filat, as well as EU Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn.
The Summit will adopt a Budapest Declaration, stating the importance and role of the Danube countries that are not EU members but are in the process of joining the Union.
On the second day of his working visit, the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister will meet with the President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences József Pálinkás to discuss scientific cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, added the statement.
