Police’s main task to combat organised crime, corruption, terrorism

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic stated that the aim of the Ministry of the Interior’s reform is to organise the police according to the highest standards and rules implemented in developed countries.

During a visit to the Criminal Police Academy, Dacic stressed that combating organised crime, corruption and terrorism is the main task of the police and the Ministry of the Interior.
He noted that investment in police education will be very beneficial for Serbia.
Dean of the Criminal Police Academy Goran Milosevic said that the Academy is the basis for future employees at the Ministry, recalling that in the past it has proved to be one of the elite higher education institutions in Serbia.
Chief of Police Milorad Veljovic also visited the Police Academy.
