Djelic will meet with Director General for Regional Policy Dirk Ahner to discuss Serbia’s priorities in drafting a comprehensive EU strategy for countries in the Danube basin.
Afterwards, the Deputy Prime Minister will meet with the General Directorate’s team headed by Natalie Verschelde, who is in charge of contacts with Serbian government representatives during the drafting of the strategy.
The meeting will also be attended by head of the Office for Serbia of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enlargement Therese Sobieski.
The meeting will focus on the pillars of the future EU strategy, which are transport and energy, development of the information society, environmental protection and socio-economic development.
In Brussels, Djelic will meet with French Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the European Union Phillippe Etienne and Director-General for Energy and Transport Matthias Ruete. During the meeting, transport on the Danube River will be discussed.
