Dacic talks with representatives of Serbian Football Association

Belgrade, 26 January 2010

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic today met with representatives of the Serbian Football Association (FSS) and discussed the upcoming FIFA World Cup to be held in South Africa this June.

FSS President Tomislav Karadzic acquainted Minister Dacic with the preparations of the Serbian national football team for the World Cup and asked the Ministry of the Interior for a security assessment.

Karadzic said that in addition to security structures provided by FIFA, the preparation of departure of the Serbian national team and its fans to the World Cup requires assistance of the Ministry of the Interior.

Dacic informed representatives of FSS that the Ministry of the Interior is ready to provide all assistance available to the Serbian national team and its fans for their departure to the World Cup in South Africa.
