"Istanbul-European Culture Capital 2010" important for Serbia

Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic, who is attending the opening of "Istanbul-European Culture Capital 2010", said that this event is of great importance for Serbia.

Bradic told Tanjug news agency that the play of Serbian playwright Dusan Kovacevic "General rehearsal of suicide" was staged in Istanbul theatre “Muhsin Ertugrul”.
He said that the play was staged before a packed audience, and it was preceded by speeches of Turkish officials who expressed satisfaction with new opening of “Muhsin Ertugrul”, which was pulled down two years ago.
The Serbian Minister of Culture said that "Istanbul-European Culture Capital 2010" is a great event for culture of Turkey, but for entire region as well.
