Dacic celebrates Orthodox New Year with members of Gendarmerie

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic celebrated Orthodox New Year with members of the Nis division of Gendarmerie, who are engaged in keeping peace at the Ground Safety Zone, at the administrative line with Kosovo-Metohija.

Dacic wished members of the Gendarmerie to have little work in 2010, but to do it with success and for the good of all citizens of Serbia.
He said that members of the Gendarmerie and police work on New Year’s night while others rest, adding that he is honoured to traditionally celebrate with them the Orthodox New Year. Beforehand, together with head of the police Milorad Veljovic, Dacic visited a part of the Ground Safety Zone in the Medvedja municipality and the police administration in Leskovac.
