Dacic talks with actor, film director Ralph Fiennes

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic today met with Hollywood actor and film director Ralph Fiennes who is planning to shoot his movie "Coriolanus".

Fiennes told Dacic that shooting should start in March 2010 and will last from 8 to 12 weeks. The budget for the movie is $20 million, of which $4 million will be spent in Serbia.
Fiennes thanked the First Deputy Prime Minister for the support of the Ministry and asked to hire equipment, vehicles, staff and weapons from the Serbian special units for the movie.
Dacic and Fiennes also discussed the possibility of using the Serbian parliament main building for shooting the main scene of "Coriolanus".
The Minister said that the Serbian Ministry of the Interior will fully support Fiennes' project, not only for financial reasons, but because this is also an excellent opportunity to promote Serbia on the international film market.
He said that such a big project might attract other foreign producers.
"Coriolanus" is a modern version of Shakespeare's play on the life of the famous Roman leader Gaius Marcius Coriolanus, which Fiennes will both direct and star in.
