OSCE to continue supporting activities of Serbian police

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic and OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut said today that cooperation between the OSCE and the Serbian Ministry of the Interior is very good.

Dacic said that the cooperation has been very varied and that the Ministry of the Interior and the OSCE will have many more joint activities in various fields.
Brichambaut said that the OSCE will pay special attention to any activities related to reforms of the police and recalled that a memorandum of cooperation was signed to that end in September this year.
During the meeting it was agreed that there is a need for greater engagement of the OSCE Mission in the region, with the aim of finding a lasting solution to the refugee problem.
