As part of the "Europe for Everyone" project, organised by the Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic’s cabinet, 50 Serbian citizens were last night selected by raffle to travel to Rome, Paris, Berlin and Brussels on the first day of visa liberalisation.
The raffle winners, who have never been to EU countries, were drawn by public figures, embassy representatives and the project’s host.
Djelic said that the project will continue, announcing that next week at the Europe–Western Balkans summit he will propose that more funds be set aside from the European budget to help people with poor financial status travel to Europe for the first time.
For the six-day trip the raffle winners will also be given €200 each.
Media sponsors of the project are the Radio Television Serbia and the Press daily.
