First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that EU representatives responsible for harmonising the stance of EU member states have given a positive opinion on the removal of visa restrictions for Serbian citizens.
In a statement to Tanjug news agency, Dacic said that this decision applies also to Montenegro and Macedonia, stressing that this was the last phase before the matter reaches before the EU justice and interior ministers’ council, which will make the final decision on visa liberalisation.
He said that the council session is scheduled for November 30, adding that that will be a special day for the Serbian people and President Boris Tadic will be in Brussels for it.
