In an article published in the NIN weekly Cvetkovic said that Serbia will thus complete the construction of key infrastructure projects that had been contemplated for decades, but their project documentation has never been drafted.
Speaking about the government’s goals in 2010, the Prime Minister said that the major ones are speedy economic recovery and the growth of citizens’ living standards.
Speaking about government measures, he mentioned reform of the public administration, restructuring of public companies and investments in infrastructure.
Some of the goals for the next year are macro economic stability and financial discipline. Rigorous measures will be taken against those who avoid paying their taxes, he said.
In the past year the practice has appeared of continuous avoidance of paying taxes and contributions, electricity, communal services and other. Such cases would often end in bankruptcy procedures and transfer of property to the personal accounts of their owners, Cvetkovic said.
