Education Ministry, Microsoft sign cooperation memorandum

The Serbian Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic and Microsoft representatives signed today a Memorandum of Understanding, regarding better access to information and communication technology in schools.

The Memorandum was signed by Minister Obradovic, Vice President of the Microsoft Corporation for Europe, Middle East and Africa Niels Soelberg and General Manager of Microsoft Serbia Vladan Zivanovic.
Speaking at a press conference after the signing, Obradovic said that this agreement is a continuation of the cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Microsoft, which started at the end of 2001 with the Microsoft Partners in Learning programme.
He stressed that this programme, which will last until 2013, will encourage schools, teachers and students to integrate IT skills into learning and to acquire computer expertise.
