Serbian Patriarch Pavle passes away

Head of the Serbian Orthodox Church His Holiness Patriarch Pavle died this morning at the age of 95 at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade, where he was being treated since November 13, 2007.
News of the Patriarch’s death was announced by Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amfilohije.
Patriarch Pavle was born as Gojko Stojcevic on September 11, 1914 in the village of Kucanci.
The bells of Belgrade’s Church of Archangel Michael tolled today to mark the Patriarch’s passing.
The details of the Patriarch’s interment will be announced on the Serbian Orthodox Church’s website.
