Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Technological Development Bozidar Djelic sent a message of congratulations to all newly elected members of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU) at today’s session of the electoral assembly of SANU.
Djelic said in his message that election as members of SANU confirms their outstanding contributions to science and culture. It gives them an opportunity to participate in the formation of national scientific and cultural policies.
He thanked all the new members of SANU who live abroad for their cooperation, which strengthens Serbia’s position in the world in the spheres of science and culture.
Djelic also said that he hopes that the 26 new full members as well as the 20 correspondent members and 13 members abroad will play an active role in SANU and cooperate with the Ministry of Science for the development of science.
