Djelic, who created the idea for this book, said that at this fair Serbia was praised at international level for efforts made towards sustainable development. He added that Serbia will continue to promote its achievements in this field.
This book has an English edition too. Its printing was financed by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, and the edition’s editor is head of the Group for sustainable development at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Cabinet Darinka Radojevic.
After the promotion, Djelic presented plaques to authors of publications that received awards for scientific contribution in 2009.
In the field of natural-mathematical sciences, the award was given to Branko Marinkovic and Sasa Karadzic for the monograph "Quantitative Ecology". In the field of technical and technological sciences Vladan Djokic received the plaque for the publication "Urban typology: the City Square in Serbia".
The publication "Thyroid Disease in Children" was awarded in the field of medical science to Ljiljana M. Saranac.
In the field of humanities and social sciences a plaque was given to the author of the monograph "The Yugoslav authorities and Serbian civic society 1944-1950" Natasa Milicevic.
