Ivica Dacic talks to Eli Yishai
Dacic,
who is on a visit to Israel, said in a statement to Beta news agency that they discussed economic and political cooperation between Serbia and Israel and it was stated at the occasion that there are many areas in which the two countries could cooperate.
He said that issues related to asylum, issuance of documents and public administration were also discussed.
Dacic said that today he also
met with Patriarch Theophilus III of Jerusalem who sent a message of support to Serbia in its fight to defend its territorial integrity and expressed a willingness to make every effort to help the Serbian people stay unified.
Dacic said that the Patriarch of Jerusalem told him he is informed about the situation in Serbia, particularly in Kosovo-Metohija, and that he sympathises with the Serbian people for all the suffering it went through.
Accompanied by priests, Dacic visited
the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Wailing Wall.
During the day, Dacic visited the Israeli police and operational centre in the Old City, where members of Christian, Jewish and Islamic communities meet each other every day.
Israeli police members showed how they secure the Old City, with more than 300 cameras.
