Irish Yes good news for Serbia’s EU road

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for EU Integration Bozidar Djelic said that today’s Irish Yes vote at their referendum on the Lisbon Treaty is good news for Serbia’s EU road and the beginning of a new era for Europe.
He explained that Europe’s president and foreign minister will be appointed by the end of this year.
Europe should be ready for new challenges next year, including enlargement to contain Western Balkan countries, he said.
The Polish and Czech presidents should now sign the ratified agreements so Europe can tie up its institutional framework, Djelic said.
Europe has its ups and downs and now we are about to enter a better period, which means a better EU perspective for Serbia, he concluded.
