First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic today attended a police exercise, performed by special police units from throughout the region, at an anti-terrorist unit base in Zemun.
The exercise was carried out by 46 members of the police as part of the international seminar “Fight against Terrorism”.
He announced that a declaration on the joint fight against terrorism and organised crime in southeastern Europe will be signed.
He said that the police will work to make the Westerns Balkans a safer region.
Participants in the seminar, who come from all nine countries of the region, carried out exercises demonstrating police actions against terrorists. Dacic and Unit Commandant Spasoje Vulevic presented them with plaques.
After the exercise Dacic confirmed that eight employees of the companies Zelvoz and Zelturist were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation for fraud. He said that the companies were defrauded of nearly RSD 70 million, adding that charges will be brought against a further five people.
