Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic stated that at Days of European Heritage events, which begin today in Prijepolje, the culture ministers from neighbouring countries will sign the Prijepolje Message, aimed at preserving and promoting their joint cultural heritage.
In an interview with RTS Bradic said that, at the initiative of the Serbian Culture Ministry, the Montenegrin, Bosnian and Republika-Srpska Ministers of Culture will visit Prijepolje for the first time.
He explained that this project was first initiated by the Council of Europe and the European Commission, with the aim of encouraging cultural diversity.
Five exhibitions will be organised at the Prijepolje Museum, he said, announcing that the ministers of culture and diplomats from neighbouring countries will visit the Mileseva Monastery, the Grand Mosque and the Catholic Church.
The Minister pointed to the importance of the Culture Ministry's activities regarding the preservation of the Serbian cultural heritage in the region.
The delegation will also visit St Andre to meet with bishop Lukijan and representatives of the Serbian Museum, Gymnasium and Theatre.
Minister Bradic concluded by saying that at the meeting held at the Hungarian Ministry of Culture, the Serbian and Hungarian delegations discussed future cultural cooperation and their joint cultural heritage.
