At a press conference following the government session, Djelic stressed that Serbia is very grateful to the European Commission and Italy for advocating the unfreezing of the Transitional Trade Agreement, recalling that the entire international community, except Holland, shares the same opinion.
He noted that Holland has recently restated that as soon as Serbia meets all its obligations towards the Hague tribunal, it will be able to join the EU.
Some EU members are planning to propose that the question of Serbia's EU integration be included on the agenda of the next EU summit to be held this October, he said, noting that all EU members must first reach consensus.
EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt have recently stated that the unfreezing of the Transitional Trade Agreement might be discussed at the EU summit.
The Minister recalled that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank will set aside around €950 million for the construction of Corridor 10.
At today's session the government discussed the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's report concerning the provision of a €150 million loan for Corridor 10, the Minister said, specifying that the money will be used for the construction of the Crvena Reka-Ciplika and Pirot-Dimitrovgrad motorway sections.
Djelic noted that the European Investment Bank's Managing Board is expected to decide on the provision of a €800 million loan for Corridor 10 in October.
The government today adopted a bill on authors' rights and related rights, which will help protect the creative rights of people, he said.
The bill precisely defines abuse of authors' rights and envisages a balanced profit distribution based on the collective principle.
The main aim of the law is to ensure that people are paid for their creativity, explained Djelic, adding that it also covers the fields of literature and science.
The Minister said that the government also decided to enable Serbian citizens to apply for subsidised loans for purchasing new Fiat Punto by the end of this year.
The provision of favourable loans for the purchase of a new Punto started on April 15, 2009, Djelic concluded.
