Theatre festival opens in Smederevo

Serbian Minister of Culture Nebojsa Bradic attended the opening of the International Fortress Theatre Festival in Smederevo yesterday evening. He stated at the occasion that his Ministry is supporting the newly established festival because the event will greatly help promote Serbian culture.
The Minister stressed that Smederevo will receive more opportunities, funding and help from the Ministry of Culture, adding that the event will serve as a new venue for actors and directors.
The festival, which is being held this year under the theme “Odysseus has returned”, will last until August 20.
