On a visit to the building, containing 16 apartments, outside of which the explosives were detonated, Dacic said that the bomb was placed in front of the building, where Serbian army and police members live, including Albanians working in these institutions.
He stressed that the police will take all measures to maintain public peace and order in the south of Serbia and the Ground Safety Zone and to protect the lives of all citizens in the region, regardless of their ethnicity.
This terrorist act has put an end to any debate as to whether the events in south of Serbia are acts of terrorism or not. The state needs to cut off the weapons supply to terrorist groups and eliminate any possibility of new terrorist acts, the Minister stressed.
He said that the Gendarmerie had launched an operation this morning, the details of which he would be revealing later at a press conference in Vranje.
The police will take severe measures against those involved in terrorism, in smuggling arms into the south of Serbia, residing there temporarily and then heading off to Kosovo or Macedonia, said Dacic.
