Solana commended Serbia’s visible progress on the EU road and supported visa liberalisation for Serbian citizens.
He expressed his satisfaction over the strategic dedication of the Serbian government in EU integration.
Solana stressed that in the past year EU institutions have regained their trust in the Serbian Interior Ministry.
Dacic pointed to the practical importance of cooperation between the Serbian police and UNMIK and EULEX, as illegal activities in the region can only be prevented by joint effort.
The participation of members of the Serbian police in peacekeeping missions considerably improves Serbia’s image in the world, he concluded.
