Following the signing of the Programme, Malovic told the press that the two ministries will now be able to decide on specific activities to be implemented in the upcoming period.
The Programme will help reform the judicial system and promote the alternative penalty and free legal aid systems, she said.
The Minister recalled that Russia is Serbia’s most important partner on its road towards real democracy and a strong economy.
The Russian people helped Serbia whenever help was needed and now, in keeping with this tradition of friendship, they have shown a willingness to strengthen cooperation, said Malovic.
Konovalov stressed that Russia attaches great value to historical links and current and future relations between the Serbian and Russian nations.
As justice ministers we can contribute to the development of these relations, said Konovalov, adding that the joint fight against various forms of international crime is very important.
