We are looking forward to Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen’s visit to Belgrade, scheduled for July 21. We are not going to exert any pressure on him but we hope that Verhagen will realise that Serbia is doing all it can to apprehend and extradite the two remaining Hague indictees, Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic, said the Minister, in an interview with the Nederlands Dagblad.
Djelic stressed that according to the European Commission the implementation of one part of the Transitional Trade Agreement is not possible, as it is part of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement and therefore cannot be divided into separate pieces.
At the recently held meeting of EU foreign ministers, Hague Tribunal Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz stated that Serbia has cooperated well with the Hague tribunal, recalled the Minister, adding that this statement should be taken into account when deciding on Serbia’s progress towards EU integration.
