The government has secured 2.5 billion dinars to pay construction workers and settle debts the Ministry of Capital Investment inherited from the previous year, Ilic told a press conference today.
The Ministry's budget was reduced by some two billion dinars early this year, he noted, adding that the budget revision will deprive the Ministry of more funds, trimming its budget by 8.5 billion dinars compared with 2003.
Ilic went on to say that officials from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have arrived in Belgrade to wrap up negotiations for the construction of a bridge near Beska. According to the Minister, Serbian companies will take part in the construction work.
