Banatski Dvor will have a daily capacity of one million cubic metres of gas, he said.
Bajatovic told a press conference that 300 million cubic metres of gas should be stored here by winter, allowing for the daily deliveries of five million cubic metres to heating plants during the winter.
The total investment for the completion of Banatski Dvor will amount to nearly €22 million while the Gospodjinci-Banatski Dvor production line will cost another €6 million.
He announced the forming of a joint company for modernization of Banatski Dvor, in which Srbijagas will hold a 49% stake while Russian Gazprom will own 51%.
After the joint company is formed, Banatski Dvor will have a daily capacity of nearly 3.5 million cubic metres, Bajatovic said.
This storage should have the capacity of 800 cubic metres by 2012, he said and noted that talks with Hungarian gas companies are underway in order to settle the needs of Serbian market.
