At a press conference following the government session, Markovic said that apart from him the working group consists of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic, Minister for the National Investment Plan Kalanovic and their associates.
At the first meeting of the working group it was agreed that some laws will be altered in order to help reduce the number of employees in public administration and local self-governments, he said.
The Minister specified that the working group has established different criteria for people working in public administration and those employed in local self-governments.
Markovic recalled that the government today adopted a bill on the electoral roll, which will help remove all irregularities during elections.
This law will enable the establishment of the unique electoral roll and database, stressed the Minister and voiced his hope that it would occur in the next three years at the latest.
He said that elections held up until now were free of irregularities, but questions were raised concerning the number of registered voters, and this law will create the same standards as in developed democracies.
