Serbia will never relinquish Kosovo for EU membership

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic stated today in Moscow that Serbia will never give up Kosovo for EU membership but stressed he is sure that Serbia will join the Union as, their society is based on European principles.

Dacic said that EU integration will provide both political and financial stability for the Western Balkans, but repeated that Serbia will never give up its cradle of Orthodoxy, Kosovo-Metohija, where their historical monuments are.
No one will ever separate Kosovo from Serbia permanently Dacic said, thanking Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and President Vladimir Putin for Russian support of Serbia.
Russia’s policy has always been principled and firm, supporting the territorial integrity of our country, he stressed.
Dacic is currently on a two-day official visit to Moscow to attend a meeting of the Serbian-Russian dialogue.
He will also attend the presentation of the Moscow Belgrade bank.
