Deputy Prime Minister for EU Integration Bozidar Djelic said that the European Commission today announced that it will send a positive recommendation to the Council of the European Union concerning the abolition of visa regime for Serbia by the end of July, which is great news for Serbian citizens.
In a statement to the Tanjug news agency, Djelic pointed out that Serbia today moved forward towards the Schengen ‘white list’, recalling that the process of Serbia’s inclusion started almost two years ago.
The Minister announced that he will attend a meeting of EU foreign ministers on June 15 and voiced his belief that participants of the meeting will present their support regarding Serbia’s visa liberalisation.
We will resolve all the remaining technical problems in the upcoming period in order to enable Serbian citizens to travel across Europe without visas next year, concluded Djelic.
