Dacic, who is co-chair of the Serbian-Russian committee for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, stated to Fonet news agency that there is a lot of scope for developing political and economic cooperation.
He said that visa restrictions for Serbian citizens for travelling to Russia will be removed within the next few days.
Speaking about the economy, Dacic said that agreements concerning joint financing of projects and Russia’s participation in transport infrastructure projects in Serbia will be signed.
Dacic and Shoigu discussed cooperation concerning emergency situations and agreed that a regional humanitarian centre should be formed in Serbia to provide help in case of emergency.
The next session of the Serbian-Russian committee will be held in September in Belgrade, which will help further develop economic relations between the two countries and expand the Free Trade Agreement, Dacic said.
Apart from Dacic, the Serbian delegation consisted of Minister of Mining and Energy Petar Skundric and Srbijagas Director General Dusan Bajatovic.
At the invitation of the Russian government Dacic, Skundric and Bajatovic will participate in the International Economic Forum, chaired by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, to take place from June 4 to 5 in Saint Petersburg.
