At a press conference held at the conclusion of the public competition announced by the Office for the distribution of funds for project documentation in 2009, the Minister said that the aim is to create new jobs in underdeveloped areas.
He said that yesterday the committee in charge of examining the projects held a session and that representatives of the ministries for the national investment plan and economy and regional development took part in the session.
The Minister said that 40 applications were received, of which 19 are related to utility, transport and water supply infrastructure projects and would cost RSD 17.1 million.
A total of 18 applications are related to urban planning projects, whose total value is nearly RSD 16.7 million, while some municipalities submitted bids for design documentation for sports halls and industrial zones.
According to him, a number of municipalities have not submitted complete documentation and they have been given deadlines to remove the irregularities.
