Jovanovic told a press conference that the decree will result in further developing a parts production industry, adding that concessions will be given to foreign partners in this field.
He noted that important contacts were made with foreign producers of car parts, and that the government is trying to revive the industry of car parts in Kragujevac-based Zastava company.
At its session yesterday, the government adopted the decree banning the import of motor vehicles and used equipment older than three years, as well as the import of used tractors and construction and mining machinery over eight years old. Exempt from the decree are motor vehicles containing EURO 3 compliant motors.
