Austria offers valuable ideas for pension system reform

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Jovan Krkobabic said today that a Serbian delegation on a two day visit to Vienna was informed about the Austrian pension system, their experiences and the tasks and organisation of the Austrian Pension Insurance Institution.
In a statement to Tanjug news agency Krkobabic said that during its visit to Austria, the Serbian delegation met with Austrian Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection Rudolf Hundstorfer and representatives of the Pension Insurance Institution and the Main Association of Austrian Social Insurance Institutions.
We received a lot of useful information which we will use while reforming the Serbian pension and disability insurance system, particularly for preparing the central register, explained Krkobabic.
The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that a central register is being prepared which will be a comprehensive database and will make it possible to establish efficient monitoring and issuance of payments.
He said that Austria is a very well organised country and has an excellent legal system.
