In an interview with the Beta news agency, Dacic explained that Serbia has adopted all necessary laws and strategies, adding that the government is still to adopt several action plans necessary for the realisation of the strategies.
He noted that the Ministry of Interior has made important steps towards visa liberalisation which will contribute to the European Commission giving a positive opinion.
According to Dacic the EU Interior Ministers will pay special attention to cross-border controls, the prevention of illegal migration and the fight against human trafficking, corruption and organised crime while deciding on the removal of visa restrictions.
The Minister pointed out that Serbia’s efforts have already been positively evaluated by EU officials.
During a ministerial conference, taking place from April 27 to 28 in Prague, Dacic will have a series of bilateral meetings to discuss Serbia’s visa liberalisation.
