Dacic attends anniversary celebration of Second Serbian Uprising

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic was in Gornji Milanovac today at the celebration of the anniversary of the Second Serbian Uprising and also laid a wreath at the Liberators’ Monument in Takovo.
Dacic, who was also there to acknowledge Gornji Milanovac Municipality Day, stressed that people who forget their history are condemned to live it again, while people whose past is their only future have no future.
At the celebration in Lunjevica the Minister unveiled a bust of Duke Nikola Milicevic, recalling that Milicevic took part in both Serbian uprisings.
According to the Minister, Serbia is still adamant to fight for the preservation of Kosovo-Metohija through legal means and will never recognise the unilaterally declared Kosovo independence.
Minister Dacic also pointed out that in these hard times it is necessary to preserve national unity.
The ceremony was attended by delegations from Norway, Romania, Poland, Slovenia and Macedonia.
