Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for EU integration Bozidar Djelic met today with UN-HABITAT programme coordinator for Serbia Jean-Yves Barcelo.
They discussed the new Settlement and Integrated Local Development (SILD) programme, which will cost €7 million. It will take three years to implement the programme. Similar programmes will also be carried out in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albania.
The project is designed to provide social housing to disadvantaged groups.
It was agreed at the meeting that a memorandum of understanding should be signed between the UN-HABITAT Belgrade Office and the team for implementing the Poverty Reduction Strategy.
