Serbia fulfills all conditions for visa liberalisation

Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said last night in Brussels that European Commision officials agreed that Serbia fulfills all legal conditions to attain visa liberalisation.

Dacic, who is participating at a two-day parliamentary seminar ''Visas and Border Management” taking place from March 30 until April 1 at the European Parliament in Brussels, told the Tanjug news agency that he expects Serbia’s inclusion on the Schengen white list by the end of the year.
He told European Commision officials that Serbia has done a lot by adjusting its legislation to the EU’s and creating all the technical and political conditions for visa liberalisation, noting that this is also another step closer towards EU candidacy.
Dacic met with Chairwoman of the European Parliament's Delegation to Southeastern Europe Doris Pack and today he is to meet with European Commission’s officials to discuss the participation of Serbian police in EU peace missions worldwide.
He will also meet with member of European Parliament Hans Svoboda and European Parliament’s Rapporteur on EU-Serbia relations Jelko Kacin.
