Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today in Brussels that Serbian citizens should expect good news about visa liberalisation in the second half of this year.

Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic met today with Director General for EU Justice, Freedom and Security of the European Commission Jonathan Faull and Head of the External Relations and Enlargement Unit within the same department, Luigi Soreca.
Dacic said that it was agreed in the meeting that Serbia has made tremendous progress towards the Schengen white list.
Dacic, who is participating at a two-day parliamentary seminar ''Visas and Border Management”, taking place from March 30 until April 1 at the European Parliament in Brussels, said that Serbia has completed almost all the formal and legal prerequisites in terms of laws and strategies, with a few more actions plans yet to be adopted.
Technical and expert commissions of the European Commision that analysed Serbia’s achievements in this field have completed their reports, Dacic said, announcing that the European Commission and the European Parliament will adopt a political position concerning these reports in April or May.
