Dacic told the press yesterday that talks on this issue will resume next week in Brussels, adding that the European Commission missions which came to Belgrade several times positively assessed all that has been done regarding issuing new passports.
He said that around 400,000 new passports have been issued, as well as a number of new personal ID cards, announcing that biometric document readers will be installed at all border crossings.
According to him, another two strategies important for Serbia’s entry in the Schengen ’white list’ and proposed by the Ministry of the Interior were adopted at yesterday’s session, namely the Strategy for Fighting Organised Crime and the Strategy on Preventing Illegal Migration.
