The excercise was performed in the ruins of the former Federal Interior Ministry and showed how the police rescue people from ruins.
Dacic said that members of the special teams are from the Sector for Protection and Rescue and the Gendarmerie.
He also thanked the French Interior Ministry, whose experts are training Serbian teams to act quickly in the event of natural catastrophes or disasters.
The Minister recalled that the government has agreed to reform the Protection and Rescue Directorate and the Emergency Service.
Assistant Minister and Head of the Protection and Rescue Directorate Predrag Maric announced that around 200 people will receive training by the end of this year, adding that the first 50 members of the Protection and Rescue Directorate and the Gendarmerie will have received training by the time the first rescue teams are formed.
According to him, five regional earthquake emergency teams will be set up, in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Kraljevo and Valjevo.
Maric explained that French experts will participate in the preparation of earthquake emergency teams, specifying that the first two phases will be carried out in Serbia and the last one at a special training centre in France.
