The protocol should help improve the quality of work done in drafting laws, sub-laws and other legal regulations as well as the drafting of relevant strategic documents which concern the Interior Ministry’s activities and police reform.
After the signing of the protocol Dacic said that the Ministry will make efforts to create a modern, efficient and highly educated police force, which will be able to fight successfully against crime.
Vasiljevic said that the protocol concerning cooperation will make it possible for the best students at the Faculty of Law to find employment in the Ministry of Interior after finishing their studies, adding that the Ministry, through cooperation with the departments for criminal, public and international public law will be able to get to know about standards in these areas and to incorporate them in their legal documents.
He said that the Interior Ministry and the Faculty of Law will also cooperate in order to draft regulations concerning areas such as the visa regime and border security.
