In an interview with the Vecernje Novosti daily, Djelic recalled that the government’s package of measures for surmounting the global financial crisis was positively evaluated at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Djelic said he had met with officials from Michelin, Henkel, Intel, Telenor, Microsoft, Unicredit Bank, as well as with other potential investors, with the aim of conveying a message that Serbia is ready to cooperate, adding that all of them confirmed they will continue investing in Serbia.
He said that Serbia agreed with Michelin, a majority shareholder of Tigar, to set up a logistics centre in Paracin, which will span 20,000 square metres. The overall investment is worth €10 million and will employ 100 workers.
Djelic said that Serbia agreed with Microsoft, HP and Intel to develop strategic partnership.
The Minister stressed that the government must conclude the construction on Corridor 10 by this April and adopt a package of reforms in order to receive a $300 million loan from the World Bank.
The package of reforms would also enable another $150 million loan from the World Bank, said Djelic.
